What Makes Every Closure Feel Right
A closure that feels right is no accident. Behind every one of our luxury magnetic rigid boxes, we record the exact numbers that create that feel, so your team can check them on paper, not just by testing a sample. The same numbers apply to our magnetic closure rigid boxes, whatever you call the closure.
A strong, cost-effective type of magnet (neodymium, grade N35) used across cosmetics, luxury, and electronics packaging.
We check magnet placement stays within this range on every order, so the pull feels the same on both sides of the lid.
This is how hard you need to pull to open the lid, measured in grams of force (gf). We set it so the lid stays securely closed but can still be opened with one hand.
We open and close each design 10,000 times on a machine to check the magnet still holds and the lid still lines up, before we approve it for full production.
Box width ≤150mm: 2 magnets (1 per side)
Box width 150–300mm: 4 magnets (2 per side)
Box width ≥300mm: 6 magnets (3 per side)
We space the magnets evenly along the opening edge so the pull feels balanced on both sides. The exact number of magnets and how hard the lid pulls depend on your box size, lid weight, and how you want it to feel.
The numbers above are our standard range. Send us your box dimensions and target lid weight, and we’ll confirm the exact number and position of magnets for your box.
Trusted by 1,200+ Brands Worldwide
We make custom magnetic boxes wholesale for new product launches and luxury magnetic rigid boxes wholesale for repeat orders, for premium brands worldwide.

We Check Every Order for Consistent Quality
The same numbers from our magnet strength testing carry through the rest of how the box is made.
Checked on every order, so the pull feels the same on the left and right.
Matched to your brand’s exact colour (Pantone) and checked against a sample we keep on file, using a standard way of measuring colour difference (ΔE). This means a reorder next quarter still matches the batch on the shelf next to it.
Every design is opened and closed 10,000 times on a machine before we approve it for full production.

Custom Magnetic Rigid Boxes with Logo, Printed to Pantone
Whether you call them custom magnetic closure boxes or custom magnetic rigid boxes with logo, we can match your Pantone colour for more accurate and consistent brand colours. Every finish option below explains what it actually looks like for large orders, not just a swatch name.

Foil Stamping
Gold, silver, or rose gold foil pressed onto the box. It looks crisp on smooth, flat surfaces. Very fine detail (under about 0.5mm) can blur together on textured paper — we’ll flag this when we review your artwork.

Spot UV
A glossy coating added to specific parts of the design. It stands out best on a non-glossy background — it’s hard to see on a surface that’s already glossy.

Embossing / Debossing
Embossing raises the logo without ink; debossing presses it in. Both work cleanly on board that’s 1,200gsm or thicker — thinner panels can leave a visible mark on the other side.

Soft-Touch (Velvet) Lamination
A soft, velvet-like coating that feels premium to the touch. It shows fingerprints on dark, large-coloured areas — choose a lighter panel, or expect a few marks to show over time. Common on luxury magnetic rigid boxes.

Screen Printing
Good for large areas of a single flat colour. It costs less per box than foil — a common choice for custom printed magnetic rigid boxes with bold, single-colour branding.

Custom Sizing
Custom size magnetic rigid boxes built to match your product. Send us your existing measurements, or your box template (dieline) if you already have one.
Magnetic Rigid Boxes with Inserts, Made to Fit Your Product
The right foam depends on what’s inside the box and how it moves in transit. We choose the insert material based on your product’s shape, weight, and fragility — not a single default.

EVA Foam
Dense, closed-cell foam that holds a precise cut shape and resists moisture — the standard material for magnetic boxes with foam inserts that need to grip the product firmly.

XPE Foam
Lighter and finer-celled than EVA, with the same closed-cell moisture resistance. A common alternative when the insert needs to flex slightly rather than stay rigid.

Sponge (Open-Cell Foam)
Soft, flexible open-cell foam that compresses around irregular shapes. Less structured than EVA or XPE, more forgiving of product variation.

EPE Pearl Cotton
Lightweight, semi-rigid closed-cell foam. Our lowest-cost option for general cushioning, not for shaped cavity inserts.

High-Density Foam
Thicker, high-expansion foam that adds cushioning depth at a lower material cost than pearl cotton, with less shape precision.
We test insert protection using a standard shipping-damage test (ISTA 2A) that simulates real shipping conditions, not just a shelf display.
Your Repeat Orders Will Match the Box You Approved
A reorder six months later shouldn’t look like a different supplier made it.
We use the same outer wrap paper for the whole order and don’t swap it partway through production.
We check the corners and seams on every order, using the same allowed range each time, so the paper always lines up the same way.
We check a sample from every batch using an international inspection method (AQL). Boxes with a magnet that doesn’t work are never accepted. Major issues, like colour mismatch or air bubbles under the outer paper, are checked against a stricter limit (AQL 1.0). Minor issues are checked against a more relaxed limit (AQL 2.5).
We keep five finished boxes from each batch for at least two years, labelled with the batch number, date, colour code (Pantone), and magnet setup. When you reorder, we compare the new batch to this kept sample — not just to a file.

Learn MoreTwo Ways to Start — Pick Yours
Whether your design is not final or already finished, both options start the same way: send us what you have.
If Your Box Design Is Not Final
You know the category and rough dimensions — the structure isn’t finished yet.
We check your current dimensions, magnet placement, and closure type.
We will clearly explain which production tools are needed and make a sample that matches your target size and finish.
You approve the physical sample before we prepare the tools needed for full production.
If You Already Have a Finished Design
Your design is already finalised — you just need a factory that can make it well.
We sign a confidentiality agreement (NDA) before we look at your box template (dieline) or product specification file (tech pack) — you don’t need to ask.
We will clearly explain which production tools are needed, who pays for them, and who owns them before you place the order. If you pay for the production tools, they belong to you. If Lipack pays for them, they stay ours — this is standard in the industry — but you can buy them from us if we agree on terms.
We run a small test order alongside your current supplier before you switch over completely. We get your approval on the very first completed boxes before we start full production.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the questions customers ask most before ordering.
Magnet & Structure
We set magnets to pull between 350–500 gf (grams of force) — strong enough for a confident close, light enough to open with one hand. The exact magnet grade and count depend on your box width and lid weight; see our magnet numbers above.
No. Every design is opened and closed 10,000 times in testing, and we check the alignment stays within ±0.3mm on every run. This means the pull and fit stay the same even after repeated use.
A magnetic box uses embedded magnets for a stronger, hands-free close. A lid and base box holds shut through a close-fitted lid alone — no metal parts. Both are fully rigid, made-to-order structures; see our lid and base boxes if you want that structure instead.
Quality & Consistency
Yes. Your colour is matched to your exact brand shade (Pantone) and checked against a physical sample we keep on file — not just a digital colour file. We use a standard way of measuring colour difference (ΔE ≤ 1.5) to confirm the match, so a Q4 reorder still looks the same as your Q1 batch.
Foil stamping and embossing hold up well on board that’s 1,200gsm or thicker. Soft-touch lamination feels the most premium, but shows fingerprints on dark, large-coloured areas — we’ll point this out when we review your artwork.
Compliance & Sustainability
The neodymium magnets we use are fully recyclable. Recycling options vary by region, so we recommend checking with your local e-waste or metal recycling facility. Documents showing what the magnets are made of are available on request, to help with sorting large quantities for recycling.
Our magnets are fully sealed inside the box — set into a shaped slot and covered by the inner lining, so no metal is exposed. For children’s products or toys, we recommend reviewing the regulations that apply in your target market (e.g. EN 71-1 in the EU, ASTM F963 in the US). We can provide magnet material and sealing details to support your compliance review.
Magnets are covered by international air cargo safety rules for dangerous goods (IATA regulations). Some air shipments may require magnet information. This depends on the magnet strength, quantity, packing method, and destination. We will check this when preparing your quote and provide the information needed by your shipping company.
Yes — we hold FSC certification for our paper materials. We also work with ISO 9001 (a quality management system standard), SGS (an independent testing and inspection company), CNAS (China’s national accreditation body), and Disney FAMA (Disney’s supplier compliance approval). Certificates and documents are available on request.
Ordering
Our standard magnetic rigid boxes MOQ (minimum order quantity) is 5,000 units per design. If you need a smaller quantity, ask us and we can check what options are available.
Structure, size, finish, and magnet setup all affect the price. Two boxes with the same dimensions can cost differently depending on the finish. There’s no single magnetic rigid box price we can give without your product details, so send us your details for a quote.
Yes — see our Sample Process above, 3–5 working days for a custom magnetic box sample.
See Option B above — we sign a confidentiality agreement (NDA) before reviewing anything, run a small test order alongside your current supplier, and confirm who owns the production tools before you commit.
