A lid and base box is a rigid box made of two separate pieces: a lid that lifts straight off, and a base that holds the product. There’s no hinge and no magnet — the lid simply fits over the base, and the fit is what makes it feel right or feel cheap. Yes, but it depends on the finishes you choose. Plain board and paper with water-based ink and an aqueous (water-based) coating adds no plastic layer. Hot foil stamping and soft-touch or anti-scratch lamination do. Tell us at the brief stage if a plastic-free build matters for your sustainability claims, and we’ll build your finish list around it.
