Approval Documents

Your Approval Documents, Ready to Use

Saying a bag is “eco-friendly” is not proof. When your legal, sustainability, or retail-compliance team needs proof for your supplier approval process, these are the documents you can show them.

Approval Documents
FSC® Chain-of-Custody Certificate No. 0234374This certificate covers paper and packaging, corrugated packaging, and paper sacks and bags, under the FSC 100%, FSC Mix, and FSC Recycled claims. It is valid through 25 Dec 2030. You can verify it yourself at info.fsc.org using the certificate number, the same way an auditor would.
Third-Party Factory Audit ReportAn independent company has reviewed our factory’s working conditions and business practices. This report is ready now, so you are not waiting on paperwork when you approve us as a new supplier.
Factory Certification PackISO 9001, SGS, CNAS, and Disney FAMA certificates in one bundle. Attach this to your supplier approval form instead of requesting each certificate on its own.
Your Approved Bag Details, in WritingThe exact paper, weight, coating, ink, and handle type on your approved sample, confirmed in writing. Your approval documents will always match what your team approved.

Need something specific for your supplier approval documents? Tell us what your team needs, and we’ll confirm what we can provide before you place an order.

Bag Guide

Choose a Bag That Can Still Be Recycled

Recycled paper fibres are shorter than new paper fibres, so paper weight matters more for kraft bags than for coated white card. Find the way you’ll use the bag below, check the weight it needs to carry, and you’ll know what bag details to ask for.

Retail Carry

Apparel, lifestyle and beauty stores. The bag gets loaded at the counter with whatever the customer bought — usually more than the shopper planned for.

E-commerce & Gifting

The bag is part of the unboxing experience. It often ships inside an outer box, so it needs to arrive flat, neat, and ready to use, then stand up well on a table.

These weight figures are a starting guide for choosing paper weight. The real weight a bag can carry depends on its size, handle type, and how the product sits inside it. We confirm the exact number for your product at the sample stage.

Our Advantages

Common Kraft Bag Problems — And How We Solve Them

Kraft and recycled paper come with three challenges that are different from regular paper. Here is how we check for them before production starts.

An All-Paper Bag Option

A “paper” bag with a plastic film laminated onto it cannot go into normal paper recycling. We can make your bag with a water-based coating (aqueous coating) instead of a plastic film (BOPP), paper twist or paper rope handles instead of a plastic (PP) cord, and no metal eyelets. This keeps the whole bag as one material, so it can be recycled as paper.

Quality Checks at Every Stage

Every printed batch goes through automatic visual inspection before it leaves the factory floor. We also do a handle strength test on the finished bag, so there are fewer problems when your shipment arrives.

Made to Carry Up to 5 kg

Recycled fibre is shorter, so it tears sooner if the weight is wrong for the bag. We match paper weight and the strength of the handle area to the weight your product actually carries, and we check this on a physical sample, not just on paper.

Materials & Options

Choose Your Kraft Paper Bag Style

Four kraft paper options, each with a different look and a different effect on the environment. Already know what you need? Skip to the table below — it shows which options keep the bag recyclable.

Natural brown kraft paper bags in four sizes with paper twist handles

Natural Brown Kraft

The classic unbleached look. It gives the most natural, eco-friendly look, and it is the lowest-cost option in the range.

White Kraft

Bleached kraft for brands that need clean, accurate colour — full-colour artwork doesn’t pick up a brown tint.

Black kraft paper bags in two sizes with a white logo print and white twist handles

Black Kraft

Dyed kraft for bold, high-contrast branding. It works well with a raised logo with no ink (blind emboss) or a small foil accent, for a more premium option.

Uncoated textured kraft bag with a roll-top closure and single-colour logo print

Uncoated Unbleached Kraft

No coating, no bleach. It has the most natural feel and texture, and it suits brands that want to show their packaging is made with as little processing as possible.

Quality Commitment

Here is how we check colour and quality. These are outside industry standards, not numbers we made up ourselves, and they are what you can expect us to meet.

Single BatchMore Consistent Kraft Paper Colour

Natural kraft base colour varies between paper batches. Whenever possible, we reserve paper from a single batch for your order, and we keep a sample from every production run to match against your next reorder.

ΔE ≤ 1.0Printed Colour

Your brand colour and logo areas are checked so closely that the human eye can barely tell any difference — a tolerance of ΔE ≤ 1.0, measured using the CIE ΔE colour scale. That’s tighter than our general printing tolerance of ΔE ≤ 2.0.

AQL 2.5Batch Inspection

Every batch goes through spot-check sampling using a globally recognised inspection standard (AQL 2.5, ISO 2859-1 / ANSI-ASQ Z1.4). We also do an extra visual and handle-strength check before shipping.

Our Sample Process

A great sample means nothing if bulk production doesn’t match it exactly. Five steps confirm all the details, including a recyclability check on the finished bag and a colour check on the kraft paper itself, not just the print.

Sample Production

We produce a physical sample using the actual kraft paper, not just a digital image, so you can test it with your real product and see if it is strong enough.

5
After Approval
Approval and delivery

Approval & Delivery

Once approved, this sample becomes the approved sample that your production run — and every reorder after it — is checked against.

What Happens After You Place an Order

Our Production Process

From order confirmation to shipping, six steps guide orders of 5,000 to 100,000+ units. Nothing moves forward until it is checked against your approved sample.

1
Order confirmation

Order Confirmation

We confirm the kraft paper, weight, coating, ink type, handle type, and size, and reserve the paper batch before production begins.

2
Pre-production sampling

Pre-Production Sampling

We make and approve a sample that meets the ΔE colour tolerance and matches the kraft base shade. This becomes the approved sample that every bag is measured against.

3
Mass production

Mass Production

Your order, 5,000 to 100,000+ units, is printed at scale using the reserved paper batch, and checked against the approved sample throughout the run.

4
In-process QC and warehousing

Quality Checks During Production

We check printing, coating, and handle assembly step by step against the AQL 2.5 inspection standard, including the strength of the handle area. Bags are then sorted and logged with a barcode so each batch can be tracked.

5
Outgoing quality control

Final Quality Check

Every shipment is checked against the approved sample one final time. We also keep a sample on file for your next reorder.

6
Shipping and delivery

Shipping & Delivery

Your order is packed on export pallets, with full customs paperwork and real-time tracking. We can also ship one order to several locations, with split deliveries.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions we hear most from brands looking for more sustainable packaging.

Compliance & Sustainability

It depends on how the bag is made, so we explain this for each option below. A kraft bag with a water-based coating, water-based or soy ink, and paper twist handles is made of a single material: paper. Add a plastic film (BOPP lamination), a plastic (PP) rope handle, or metal eyelets, and it is no longer a single material — these parts have to be removed before recycling. Tell us that recyclability is a requirement, and we’ll recommend materials that keep the bag recyclable.

We can provide our FSC Chain-of-Custody certificate (No. 0234374, valid through 25 Dec 2030, verifiable at info.fsc.org), a third-party factory audit report, our factory certification pack (ISO 9001, SGS, CNAS, Disney FAMA), and your approved bag details in writing. If your compliance team needs something beyond this list, ask before you place your order. We will confirm what we can provide, rather than promising it after the order is placed.

Yes. You can visit our facility, send your own third-party inspector, or take a live video tour. We can also share an existing third-party factory audit report to help start the process. We would rather you check us now, while approving us as a supplier, than find a problem later during a retail audit.

Materials & Structure

As a starting point: 120 gsm paper suits a weight of about 1.5 kg, 180 gsm suits about 3 kg, and 250 gsm suits about 5 kg. These numbers are a guide for choosing paper weight. The exact weight a bag can carry depends on its size, handle type, and how the product sits inside it, so we confirm this against your actual product at the sample stage.

Yes, we keep colour close between batches and reorders. Natural kraft colour can vary a little between paper batches, and this is more visible with higher recycled content. To manage this, we reserve paper from a single batch for your order whenever possible, and we keep a sample from every production run. We then measure the printed colour against your approved sample using the CIE ΔE colour scale, a standard industry method for measuring how close two colours are. Brand colour and logo areas are held to ΔE ≤ 1.0, a difference too small for the eye to see, which is tighter than our general tolerance of ΔE ≤ 2.0.

Yes, for food that is already bagged, boxed, or bottled, such as most bakery, deli, and specialty-food items. This is known as secondary packaging. We do not make packaging that touches food directly, so if you need a wrapper, liner, or bag that touches unwrapped food, we are not the right supplier for that item.

Yes. A raised logo with no ink (blind embossing), a single-colour soy-ink print on uncoated paper, a heavier paper weight, and a well-made paper rope handle can all give a considered, premium look without lamination. A glossy plastic film finish can also look premium, but it stops the bag from being recycled as paper, while an unlaminated finish keeps it fully recyclable.

Working Together

Our minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 5,000 units per design or size. Orders typically range from 5,000 to 50,000 units, with larger runs available up to 100,000 units.

Physical samples are typically ready in 3–5 working days, and your sample fee is fully refunded once you place a production order. Bulk production usually takes 20–25 days, from order confirmation to shipping.

Yes. We can send one order to different countries or addresses worldwide, useful for retail chains supplying multiple markets from a single production run.

Before sample production begins, we offer a limited number of free design changes. Once the artwork is finalised and a sample is made, any further changes start a new sampling round. The cost depends on the size of the change: a colour or logo-position change usually costs less than a change to the bag’s structure or material. Once bulk production has started, we generally cannot accept design changes. If a change is unavoidable at that stage, we will check with you first whether it is possible, and confirm the cost before going ahead. Foil stamping, spot UV, and die-cutting need a one-time printing setup. If a change needs a new printing plate, that setup cost applies again.

Yes. If kraft is not the right fit for a certain product line, see our custom apparel paper bags and custom jewelry paper bags pages. You can also mention it when you request a quote, and we will let you know how we can combine it with this order.
