Custom Drawer Boxes for Global Brands
A drawer box is judged in the first second, when the tray slides out. We build luxury drawer boxes where that slide feels the same on the first unit and the ten-thousandth.

What Is a Drawer Box?
A drawer box is made of two parts. An outer sleeve, and an inner tray that slides in and out of it. There is no lid to lift and no hinge to break. The customer holds the sleeve in one hand and pulls the tray with the other, and the product appears the way a drawer opens.
You will see this structure sold under a lot of names. Drawer style boxes, sliding drawer boxes, slide out boxes, pull out boxes, and custom slide boxes all describe the same two-part build. Some buyers ask for drawer style packaging, others for slide out packaging boxes or pull out packaging. If your brief uses any of those words, we are talking about the same thing.
Every drawer box we make is rigid. The sleeve and the tray are both built from thick greyboard and wrapped in printed paper, so the box holds its shape from the factory to the shelf. That is what separates drawer packaging boxes at this level from a folding carton that arrives flat.
Not sure which structure suits your product? Send us the product dimensions and we will recommend one.

Three Things We Hold Steady
A drawer box closes by friction, not by a magnet. There is no metal to declare for air freight, no magnet to separate for recycling, and no small part a child could swallow.
We match each production run against the physical sample you signed, not against the artwork file. Colour drift between your spring order and your autumn reorder is the thing buyers notice first.
The printed wrap is positioned to this tolerance on the sleeve and the tray. It is why the pattern still lines up along the seam when the drawer is closed.
These are the targets we work to, agreed with you at sample stage. Exact values depend on your box size, board thickness, and finish, and we confirm them in writing before production starts.
Types of Drawer Style Boxes
Every one of these is a sleeve and a tray. What changes is how the customer gets the tray out, and how many trays there are. Drawer boxes with sleeve construction all share the same core build, so you can switch between these options without changing your board spec.

Classic Two-Piece Drawer
The plain version. A wrapped sleeve, a wrapped tray, and nothing on the outside. The customer pushes one end of the tray to open it. Lowest tooling cost of the five.

Drawer Boxes With Ribbon Pull
A satin or grosgrain loop is fixed through the tray front. It gives the customer something to hold and it slows the opening down, which is usually the point. Ribbon colour is matched to your Pantone.

Notch-Pull Drawer
A die-cut notch or a short paper tab replaces the ribbon. Nothing protrudes, so the boxes stack tightly in a shipper and sit flush on a shelf. The cleanest option for retail display.

Drawer Boxes With Handle
A ribbon or cord handle is fitted to the sleeve so the box can be carried without a bag. Popular for counter gifting and events, where you want to skip the carrier bag entirely.

Double-Layer Drawer
Two trays in one sleeve, or a lifting lid over a drawer below. This is what advent calendars and multi-piece gift sets use. It is the most complex drawer build we make and it needs a longer sample round.

Custom Printed Drawer Boxes, Built From Your Own Spec
Choose the wrap, the board, the print method, the coating, and the finish. Luxury drawer boxes are mostly a stack of those five decisions, and every combination below has already run on our line. Each card says what the option does and where it stops.
Custom drawer box packaging is quoted from your own artwork, so there is no template to work around. For logo printed drawer boxes the usual route is offset print for the wrap plus one logo treatment, either foil or an emboss. Luxury drawer box packaging often stacks two of them, which adds a pass and a little cost per unit.
Working to an eco brief? Our kraft material notes explain which of these finishes add a plastic layer and which do not. Ask us for the plastic-free build.
Inserts That Hold the Product Still
A drawer box has one weakness a lid box does not. The tray moves. If the product is loose inside it, every pull rattles, and a rattle at the counter reads as cheap no matter what the box cost. The insert is what stops that.
Cut to the product outline. Firm, holds its shape over years of opening, and takes a velvet or paper facing. The default for jewellery and watches.
Foam with a fabric surface. Softer look, kinder to plated and polished surfaces, slightly more expensive per unit.
Folded board compartments. The lightest and cheapest option, and the easiest to recycle. Best where the product is not fragile.
Heat-moulded to a bottle or jar profile. Needs its own tooling and a longer first run, so it suits ranges you will reorder.
Send us the product and we will tell you which of these it needs. Start with a sample.

The Pull
Sliding drawer boxes have no magnet and no hinge. The whole closing quality comes from one thing: how tightly the tray sits inside the sleeve.
Get it too tight and the customer has to fight the box. Worse, they grip the sleeve and crease the wrap, or the ribbon tears out of the tray front. Get it too loose and the tray creeps open in transit, so the box arrives at the shop already half undone.
The fit comes from three things we control together: the thickness of the board on both parts, the thickness of the wrap where the two surfaces meet, and how the tray is squared before it is wrapped. None of those is exotic. What matters is that they are held to the same values on every run, and checked against your signed sample rather than against a drawing.
We agree a fit target with you at sample stage and write it into the specification, so the person running your reorder next year is working to the same number as the person who made your first sample.
Send us your box size and product weight. We will agree the fit target with you before tooling.

Drawer Boxes, by Industry
The structure is the same. The insert, the board weight, and the finish are not.

Jewellery Drawer Boxes
Small formats, deep inserts, and a soft facing so plated surfaces do not mark. Usually ordered as a family of four to eight sizes.
See all jewelry drawer boxes
Cosmetic Drawer Boxes
Heavier board, because a full bottle loads the tray every time it moves. Fitted inserts stop the bottles knocking together on the shelf.
See beauty packaging
Perfume Drawer Boxes
Glass is heavy and it breaks, so the tray gets a deeper insert and a slower fit. The inside of the sleeve is often printed too, since the customer sees it as the tray comes out.
See perfume packaging
Chocolate Drawer Boxes and Advent Calendars
Many small compartments in one tray, and a food-safe liner where the product touches board. Seasonal runs need their artwork locked early, so we book these from spring.
Plan a seasonal run
Gift Drawer Boxes
Mixed contents of different heights, which is the hardest case for an insert. We build the insert around your final product list, so tell us the set contents early.
See gift packaging
Apparel Drawer Boxes and Accessories
Shallow, wide trays for scarves, small leather goods, and folded knitwear. Tissue and a printed band usually replace a moulded insert here, which keeps the unit cost down on larger formats.

Most enquiries we receive are not new designs. They are finished designs that need a factory that can hold them. Both routes below are normal for us.
You already have a drawing
Send the print layout and the technical pack from your current drawer box supplier. We work from your files.
We sign before you send anything. Your files are not shared outside the project team.
We tell you where it will and will not run as drawn, and what we would change. If nothing needs changing, we say that too.
Send us one of your existing boxes. We match it, and you compare the two side by side before committing.
You are running a trial alongside your current factory
A parallel run is the safest way to change supplier on a product you are already selling.
Take the size you reorder most often. It gives you the clearest comparison and the smallest risk.
You approve the first boxes off the run before the rest is made, not after the container ships.
If you pay for the cutting tools, they are yours. We release them on request, in writing, with no argument.
A Drawer Box Manufacturer You Can Inspect
Three ways to check us before you place an order.
Visit the factory in person. Send a third-party inspection company such as SGS or Bureau Veritas at any stage of your order. Or ask for a live video walk of the line, which takes about twenty minutes and needs no notice.
We are a custom drawer box manufacturer and a rigid box manufacturer running our own plant, not a trading office placing your order elsewhere. Any custom packaging manufacturer can send you a specification sheet. Far fewer will book you a slot to walk the line. That is the point of all three options above: there is somewhere for you to go and look.

Our Sample Process
The signed sample becomes the standard for your production run and for every reorder after it.

Spec Review
Box size, board weight, wrap, pull type, insert, and your deadline. Send an existing print layout or technical pack if you have one.

Cost Breakdown
Separate prices for the box, the tooling, the sample, and delivery. You can see which finish is driving the cost and drop it.

Artwork and Print Layout
Pantone references, foil position, where the wrap seam falls, and the pull position on the tray front.

Sample Production
A physical box, with your product in it if you send us one. This is where the fit is set.

Approval and Retained Sample
Pull the tray yourself and check the colour in daylight. We keep the signed box and check every later batch against it.
Drawer Box Wholesale Production
Bulk drawer boxes run 7 to 15 working days after the sample is signed. Delivered duty paid by sea takes 20 to 30 days, by air 7 to 10. As a drawer box supplier we can split one order across shipments if your warehouse cannot take it all at once, and we handle wholesale packaging boxes for the rest of your range on the same booking. Most wholesale drawer boxes ship on the same schedule regardless of pull type, because the ribbon or handle is fitted during assembly rather than after it.

Order Confirmation
Quantity per size, artwork version, finishes, packing method, destination countries, and the export documents you need.

Pre-Production Sample
We pull your retained sample out of storage and match the new run to it before the line starts.

Printing and Finishing
Print, foil, emboss, and coat the wrap. Paper is locked to one mill batch across the whole order so the colour does not shift mid-run.

Assembly and In-Line Checks
Sleeve and tray are built, wrapped, and paired. Operators pull trays from the line through the shift and check the fit against the signed sample.

Final Quality Check
Sampling inspection before packing, to the standard used across the industry: no critical faults accepted, 1.0 for major faults, 2.5 for minor ones.

Packing and Delivery
Moisture protection, export cartons, palletised. Delivered duty paid, or to your forwarder at the port, whichever your team prefers.

Frequently Asked Questions
The questions buyers actually send us before a first order.
Fit and structure
The fit between the sleeve and the tray is set at sample stage and held to that value through the run. On top of that, boxes are packed tray-side up in the export carton, so gravity works with the fit rather than against it. If your product is unusually heavy for its box size, tell us at spec review and we will tighten the target.
A drawer box slides. A magnetic box folds open like a book and closes onto magnets. The drawer has no metal in it, which matters for recycling and for air freight declarations. The magnetic box gives a bigger reveal and a flat inner lid you can print on. If the reveal is the point, look at our magnetic rigid boxes.
Board is paper, and paper responds to the air around it, so a box stored in a humid warehouse will feel slightly different from one stored in a dry one. We are not going to claim we tune each order to its destination climate, because we do not. What we do is keep a signed sample from your run and check reorders against it, and we would rather you told us the storage conditions up front so we can set the fit target with them in mind.
Materials and finish
Yes. Rigid drawer boxes use thick greyboard with a printed wrap. Lighter cardboard drawer boxes and paper drawer boxes use a single folded board and cost less per unit, but they feel lighter in the hand. Kraft drawer boxes use an unbleached or recycled wrap and suit eco-positioned ranges. We will tell you honestly which one your product needs rather than pushing you up the range.
Foil stamping carries a thin polyester film, and matt or gloss lamination is a plastic film by definition. Water-based coating is not. Spot UV depends on the formulation, so ask us about the specific one. If you need a plastic-free build, the honest answer is to skip foil and lamination and use water-based coating on uncoated board. We would rather tell you that than sell you a foil box and let you find out at the recycling audit.
We lock the whole family to one paper batch and one ink mix, and we check each size against the same signed sample rather than against the file. The target is a colour difference of 1.5 or less, which is below what most people see side by side under shop lighting.
Sustainability and compliance
On the metal question, yes. There is no magnet to remove before the board goes into paper recycling, and no magnetic material to declare on an air waybill. That does not make the box automatically recyclable, because the wrap finish still matters. See the finishes answer above.
Yes, and we can supply the chain of custody paperwork your compliance team will ask for. Say so at spec review, because the certified stock has to be booked with the mill rather than pulled from general stock.
Ordering
5,000 units per design. Several sizes in one order can share artwork setup, so a family of four sizes does not cost four times the setup. Lower quantities are possible for qualified brand partners on request, but the price per box rises because the tooling is spread over fewer units.
Board and wrap by area, print and finishing by pass, the insert as its own line, tooling as a one-off, then packing and freight. We quote those separately so you can see which decision is costing you the most and change it. Drawer boxes bulk pricing steps down at quantity breaks we will show you in the quote.
3 to 5 working days once the artwork is confirmed, plus courier time. A double-layer drawer takes longer because the inner tray needs its own tooling.
Whoever paid for them. If the tooling is on your invoice, it is yours, and we release it on written request. We put this in the quotation rather than leaving it to be argued about later.
